Care & Maintenance Instructions1. Washing & Cleaning
- Dry Clean Only: Never hand wash or machine wash this saree. The fine Pashmina silk fibers and delicate metallic threads can distort and lose their natural luster when exposed to water.
2. Ironing- Low-Heat Steam: Use a low-to-medium heat setting on your iron.
- Protective Barrier: Always place a clean cotton cloth over the saree or iron it on the reverse side to prevent scorching the delicate silk and metallic threads.
3. Storage- Breathable Packaging: Wrap the saree in a clean muslin or soft cotton cloth. Avoid airtight plastic bags, which trap moisture and can yellow the fibers.
- Avoid Hangers: Refrain from hanging the saree on metallic hangers for long periods, as this can cause the heavy weave to pull down, misshape, or tear the delicate silk.
- Periodic Refolding: Take the saree out every few months, let it air out in a shaded area, and refold it along different lines to prevent permanent fabric creases or cracks.
